Simplicitude

Seeking and Savoring...

Simplicitude

A State of balance between opposing forces

To unravel the complicated

To create connection in chaos

To change perspective in conflict

To feel solitude without loneliness

To live in gratitude around scarcity

To embrace peace in suffering

To engage joy through sorrow

To let go of holding on

To be still in the noise

The word Simplicitude came to me one day as I was trying to put a word to what I was

desperately seeking in my life.

My quest for peace was elusive.

As the word emerged, I realized that life is not

about achieving resolution or a final peace, as much as learning to be

comfortable in uncertainty, embracing the dance between the opposing

forces of our lives, finding our balance, our courage, and our way to

navigate through the conflict, the chaos, and the complicated,

not circumventing them.

It is about going in, engaging in the struggle, being present, discovering the meaning , but seeking and seeing new possibilities.

Our life journey may often feel more like a childhood game of teeter-totter, than a level, navigable path,  but I believe as we seek simplicitude, a natural balance occurs, an understanding  and honoring of what is, balanced by the hope of what can be.

Peace is elusive, but can gently settle as we seek and savor simplicitude.

What women are saying about Simplicitude Soul Restoration Retreats...

From the moment I crossed the threshold of Kristen’s space I felt a serenity I had not known I craved.  She has created a safe haven where we are able to free ourselves socially, creatively, spiritually and physically. The aesthetics alone are so remarkable I could spend hours upon hours in silence and feel renewed.  But it is Kristen herself that brings light to the restoration experience. Her ability to nurture without invading is refreshing and rare. She is goodness and gentleness. She is laughter and encouragement,  And she has a gift for bringing people together, who have never met before, and making them feel like they’ve been related since ancient times.  Thank you, Kristen!

Dear Kristen!

I just wanted to thank you for facilitating the Soul Restoration retreat. Before I got to the retreat I knew it was going to be a good experience but I didn't know it was going to be a life changing experience! You really have a beautiful gift of seeing people deep in their soul and I had never met someone with such a gift before. You taught me to really see others, trust myself, love deeper, acknowledge my journey and to forgive. I feel different... I now feel this amazing level of peace and clarity that I never thought was possible to reach and you made that happen for me! I will always be eternally grateful and will never forget this beautiful retreat. I'm so glad that I stepped out of my comfort zone and took the leap of faith to attend. The forgiveness exercise that you taught me worked!  I can't describe it, but there's just this feeling of inner peace that I didn't feel before the retreat. Thank you again!!

I came into Soul Restoration hoping to free myself from some past mistakes and things that had happened to me in the past. "Baggage"  that I felt was holding me back and weighing me down.  It exceeded all my expectations.  I was treated with kindness and compassion. The environment was amazingly peaceful, beautiful, inspiring, and fun!  The food and snacks were so nice. Creating art was fun and healing and has left me with beautiful and inspiring reminders of what I learned and of who I want to be.

The most amazing things I gained were a feeling of peace and of wholeness, the assurance that I am good enough and I have the power to keep going even through hard things.  I feel like it doesn't matter what life throws at me, I can be happy through it.   I have been able to discover a sense of what my purpose is here and I have a renewed desire to go after my dreams and fulfill my purpose and goals.  I think that by taking this time for myself I have been able to be a better mom and able to give and serve those I love.   I have renewed myself, not just like a mere trip or getaway would for a little bit, but truly and deeply, and I know I can listen to and take time for myself and what I need physically, spiritually and emotionally on an ongoing basis.  I am already telling all my sisters, friends and family about how amazing Soul Restoration is!   I can't tell you how grateful I am for the change and inspiration you have been in my life.  I am blessed to have had the opportunity to associate with you and your staff!
